This section will help you in the download of the software to you
computer and start you on the install process.

Before proceeding with the software installation, the printer mus
first be properly set up, and your computer must be ready to print
  • • Turn on th
    printer first, then turn on the computer.
  • • Close any scree
    savers, virus protection programs, or other software program
    running on your computer.
  • • Click on Downloa
    Now and a File Download box will appear.
  • • Select Save Thi
    Program to Disk and a Save As box will appear.
  • • Select a director
    to save the file in and click Save.
  • • Locate the fil
    using Windows Explorer when the download has completed.
  • • Double click o
    the file. This will extract all the driver files into a director
    on your hard drive. Select the name of the folder where the file
    will be extracted (for example c:designjet)
  • • Open the Printer
    Window (Click Start-Settings-Printers).
  • • Update the printe
    if it was previously installe
    • o Right click on the printer an
      select Properties from the pop menu.
    • o On the General tab, select Ne
      Driver.
    • o Click on the Warning Box that pop
      up.
    • o A printer listing box will appear
      Select Have Disk.
    • o Another box Install from Dis
      appears.
    • o Click the Browse to locate th
      expanded files directory (i.e., c:designjet).
    • o Click on the file ending wit
      .inf
    • o Click Open and then Okay and le
      files install.

    • o Click Add New Printer.

      Printer Wizard.
